Going from Public School events to the not so eventful Homeschooling

So as most of you know, we have been homeschooling for the last 2 years.  At first it was fine because we were going and going and going.  The girls were running around like crazy and loving the new schedule!  Well, now just a couple years in it seems like we are going, going, going but not really enjoying the kind of busyness that it is.  Holidays come around and then kids biggest thing this year was they missed the CLASS PARTIES!
So, we are changing things up in the Hazel house this 2013!  We are no longer going to be just home-schoolers who do the work and then get busy with life's schedule.  We are going to really work on fellowship!  We are starting with our first "Class Party" for Valentine's Day.  All ages of kids too.

I feel like family is most important and they need to depend, love and play well with just us, but at the same time it is so important for them to development real friendships as well with others.  I love our church for this reason too.... they LOVE to encourage building friendships between each grades of kids, so they host kid's night outs and the girl's LOVE it!

My home-school mama advice this week is to learn to PLAY WITH OTHERS.  No matter what age your kids are, get involved with a group of other kids their age and hang out with them!  The nice weather is just around the corner so it is time for us to get creative and enjoy one another so they can have others to grow up with! :)
