About Me

Hey there!  First of all, thank you so much for taking time out of your day to read my page.  I am so grateful for all the readers out there!  I just wanted to take a minute to share a little bit about myself and why this blog was started.

My name is Aimee and I am a wife to a wonderful man named Aaron.  We have four creative and energetic kids that never leave a dull moment in our home.  Three of our lil ones are GIRLS!  Talk about a few drama filled days a week. hahaha!  We have one awesome BOY as well, he is so great that God knew we could only have one boy in our family besides his daddy.  I homeschool the girls and my stepson goes to a public school nearby, and he loves it!  We started homeschooling almost 2 years ago when I decided that God was really pressing the issue with me.  I have stayed at home since my last pregnancy with our youngest daughter Addy and I felt God was telling me it was time that all the girls stayed home with me.

Now, I make that sound so simple.  Psh!  For those of you that know me you know that couldn't be further than the truth.  Aimee homeschooling? Yeah, right.  Well, it was true.  I was terrified and had no clue where to even start.  I met moms who wanted to help, but it seemed like all their answers were the same and to be honest they weren't helping me at the time.  I spent so much time asking other homeschoolers what I should do and completely avoided asking God what I should be doing.  Oops.  Well, that didn't work for long.  I soon learned that asking Him for the answers got me so much further.  I also saw His reasoning for the plan of our family homeschooling when that same fall of our first year my mother was diagnosed with terminal Breast Cancer.

Between homeschooling and being a full-time mama and a wife, I feel a bit overwhelmed some days.  I started trying to get more organized and get more quiet times in with our Father.  I started doing things that made me feel successful like couponing, crafting, at-home jobs and more.  At the beginning of January I felt a lil tug from multiple directions that I was going to start a blog.  In the beginning I didn't know what direction it would take, but slowly I started hearing His insight on it.  Little by little I got more confirmations and the answers came in.  So here we are.

This page is going to have lots of different types of information for you.  Homeschooling experiences, some great food that you can eat and incorporate into a healthy lifestyle (and enjoy), frugal tips on menu planning and shopping, DIY ideas that come for tons of directions and I would love to have some devotional shares on here as well.  The biggest thing I feel pulled to at the moment is HEALTHY EATING.  ugh.  I know.  I LOVE FOOD.  There came a time though that I realized that the processed and junky yummy food I was eating had to be reduced.  I started seeing tons of recipes online recently that looked amazing but soon realized they were filled with things we shouldn't be consuming so frequently!  I then realized (thanks to my Mema ♥) that so many people don't know how to make those recipes something they can enjoy by using healthy substitutes!

So that's that.  I pray this page reaches those that can find it useful.  I love you guys and thank you again for reading my rambling!!!
