Tonight we had an AWESOME time of worship and fellowship at the Girlfriends Reflect Event at Journeychurch.tv. My friends and I look forward to this every fall and spring!!! We got the privilege of hearing from the wonderful Holly Wagner from Oasis Church in Los Angeles, California. She touched on some things that were actually in alignment with what God has been pressing on me personally lately! Imagine that. :)
She spoke on so much but the words determination and perseverance really hit home with me the most. I am not going to go into major detail for this first time, but I would like to say that if you feel like giving up on whatever you are facing, don't. Don't let defeat take over. I am guilty of allowing my overwhelmed mind to convince me it is okay to give up because it seems impossible for things to change. I am so grateful for tonight's service and Holly's words because it refreshed my spirit and reminded me that I have to be DETERMINED to FINISH this leg of the race.
I am so amazed by God's merciful love and His constant guidance in our lives. He is always where I find peace and sometimes I forget that and search for that same peace everywhere else but with Him. Spend this week putting your HOPE in our Father because He is the ONLY THING that is TRUE in this life. NOTHING can feed your soul with this kind of satisfaction but Him.
Father, come fill us with your Spirit, Jesus speak to our hearts and God give us the strength to get through this storm in our life. We come to you with a thankful heart for hearing our cry and trust in you and your way you have lined up before us. Thank you for never loving us through our mistakes and never separating from us. Like it reads in Psalms 3:5 we will trust in you Lord with all our hearts and we will not lean on our own understanding. Your way is the only way to get out of our storm.
